AGCM worked as Construction Managers on this project. The project consisted of re-purposing a space previously used as a bank in years gone by into an additional hotel banquet room facility. The work involved the complete demolition and removal of a large concrete – walk-in type bank vault with full 20” thick walls and 14” thick ceiling both with several layers of rebar matting using a robotic hydraulic remote-controlled jack hammer. 

The vault demolition work had to be done around the hotel’s schedule of occupancy as the space the vault existed in was directly below a cluster of hotel suites. Once demolition of the vault was completed, AGCM put the space back together with fresh ceiling grid, freshened up the walls with new paint and installed new carpet tile flooring.
