PROJECTS

64 Gordon Street

General Contractor
Consultants: Artech
Location: Moncton
Completion: June 2019

The work involved an accessibility upgrade to allow for wheel chair access in the rear of the property. AGCM coordinated the installation of a multi-level wheel chair ramp as well as coordinated the construction of a structural steel landing and staircase providing the 2nd floor tenants safe egress that meets current code standards. The work also involved accessibility upgrades on the main level of the facility allowing clients with mobility issues access to barrier free washroom and kitchen facilities. All rooms within the main level were upgraded with accessible doors. New floor finishes and fresh paint throughout the main and second level. Work was completed in phases to accommodate the gender separation within the building where we were only permitted to work on one level at a time. Complexities in this project involved the installation of the wheel chair ramp and second level structure due to the proximity to the property line, respecting special fire calculations in the rear and side of the building. This greatly affected construction details and materials we were allowed to use to complete the scope. AGCM worked as General Contractors on this project.
