Rob Clinch

Rob is one of the two founding partners of Avant-Garde and current CEO.  Throughout his 16 year career in the Construction industry Rob has successfully managed a broad range of commercial construction projects in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and the Northeast United States.  Rob’s background includes Construction Management in the Retail Development, Commercial Office Space, Luxury Residential, and Hospitality industries.

Rob’s strength is his ability to communicate construction concepts, processes, and solutions effectively to owners and subcontractors.  Rob believes the continued success of Avant-Garde is based on the three core values of the company;  effective communication, especially when things are not going according to plan; transparency ; above all, do what you say you are going do.

Patrick Sohy

One of the founding partners, Patrick has been involved in the construction field for his entire work career. He owned a construction business in Quebec and worked in the petroleum industry for 3 years before moving to New Brunswick in 2002 where he worked for a Saint John general contractor before forming a partnership with Rob Clinch which ultimately created Avant-Garde in 2004. Patrick is president and director of operations for Avant-Garde which doesn’t stop him to be involved as required in the estimating and project management.

Joe Greer

Joe loves managing projects. He works tirelessly on scheduling, costing and delivery of project work; and he loves it.  Clients appreciate Joe’s effort, his communication throughout the project, the timeliness of reporting, and above all the end result.   Prior to joining Avant-Garde as a Project Manager in 2009 Joe successfully completed projects in the commercial, residential and municipal fields in both Halifax and Moncton areas.

Allyson Clinch

When projects don’t start well, they generally don’t finish well.  Allyson excels at ensuring that projects start well through attention to detail, accurate budgets, and well detailed proposals.  Allyson works with owners, project design teams, and municipalities to assemble design packages ready for construction.  She has a 15 year background as a consulting civil engineer prior to joining the Avant-Garde team in 2012.

Stephanie Knowles

To subcontractors and suppliers Stephanie is often considered the most important person at Avant-Garde.  She manages the contract administration, accounts payable, and general accounting for the Moncton Office.  Stephanie also assists the estimators and project managers to successfully complete their projects.  Stephanie joined Avant-Garde in 2011 after graduating with honours from NBCC Moncton.  If you need something at Avant-Garde, Stephanie is usually the best place to start to get the result you need.

Allan LeBlanc

As a Site Superintendent, managing jobsites is not an easy task.  Subcontractors, project managers and owners keep your feet to the fire.  Allan has emerged as a construction leader by holding people accountable to three things; show up when you say you are going to show up, do what you say you are going to do, and most important, use common sense.  Allan drives his projects using this approach as the foundation for managing subcontractors and suppliers.  Clients appreciate Allan for his hard work, his attention to detail, and his commitment to the success of their project.

Chris Madsen

Chris came to Avant Garde in 2007 as a skilled labourer, in that time he has proven invaluable to clients and has become a trusted site supervisor. Chris never hesitates to commit extra time to a project and consistently goes above and beyond to exceed clients’ wishes.

Denis joined Avant Garde in 2015. Prior to working with us as a Site Supervisor,  he has worked over 15 years in the industry  and gained certifications in H2S Alive, ground disturbance level II and fire stopping.

Denis excels at contractor communications, working well under pressure and organization, three necessary skills required to finishing every project on time and on budget.
